PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
BRC’s Continuing Day Treatment Program (CDTP) provides comprehensive mental health services designed to assist the chronic mentally ill and/or deinstitutionalized individual reintegrate back into the community and reduce the likelihood of deterioration and/or rehospitalization. Substance abuse disabilities are treated concurrently.
The purpose of CDTP is to stabilize the client, restore him/her to the best possible functional level, and promote placement in the least restrictive environment possible. CDTP provides a safe, comfortable, caring, supportive, and therapeutic environment which encourages participation, enables program members to make use of services and encourages individual growth and actualization.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
Clients must be 18 years of age or older and have a primary, Axis I psychotic disorder as determined by DSM IV. Clients must be dysfunctional due to mental illness. This dysfunction is evidenced by deficits in self-care, activities of daily living, interpersonal relations, or adaptation to change or task performance in work or work-like settings. Clients must agree to attempt to remain alcohol and drug free and not to abuse prescribed medications. Clients must agree to random tests for drug and/or alcohol usage.

- Psychiatric Summary (including mental status within past 90 days)
- Physical Exam (within the past year, including negative PPD and/or chest X – Ray)
- Proof of Medicaid Eligibility
